On Hiatus

This blog was started during the 2008 presidential campaign. It’s aim was to provide an outlet for observations and discussions on political matters so my main blog could focus on its primary topic: health care reform. It was fun to do and, for a while there, got a healthy amount of traffic. With over 100 posts and nearly as many comments, it was a great experience.

The election, however, is over. The new administration is intent on fixing the nation’s health care system this year, which means the politics of health care reform can’t be separated from the substance of health care reform. The reason there’s been only one post on this blog so far this year is that my political musings fit better, for now, on the health care reform blog.

Politics is important and perhaps I’ll take up this blog again. There is, after all, a major gubenatorial election taking place in California next year. For now though, this blog is officially on hiatus.

Thank you for visiting this blog. I enjoyed the experience and appreciate your taking the time to be a part of it. If you haven’t already, please check out my health care reform blog. Perhaps we can continue the discussion there.

Again, thanks.
Alan

Any departure of the wit and wisdom of Alan Katz from our conscious world is a loss for us all!
Keep up the great work, Alan, and keep us all informed! We value your commentary and depend on your insight.

all right, I understand everyone has its own agenda when it comes to healthcare reform. from doctors, hospitals, clinics, insurance companies just to name a few. we need to make sure to show our views and President Obama again has launch a campaign where all of us during the month of June/2009 can emphasize what outcomes they will like to see in healthcare reform. so please go to http://www.barackobama.com/index.php and HOST YOUR OWN EVENT OR MAKE SURE TO ATTEND ONE AND MAKE SURE YOUR VIEWS ARE WRITTEN ON THE “PROPOSAL” THAT NEEDS TO BE SEND BACK AFTER THE EVENT IS HOSTED.
THIS IS PERHAPS OUR LAST OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE OUR VOICE HEARD!!! AFTER THIS THE SENATE WILL WRITE THE HEALTHCARE REFORM BILL!!!
